Straight "A" Academy is a formally recognized PRIVATE SCHOOL!
Mass education (whether public or private) serves an important function in society. However, making children fit into a pre-set curriculum runs counter to our philosophy. We believe in training the whole child and in building a curriculum around each individual student. Every child learns at his/her own pace. So, not only should no child be left behind, no child should be held back from achieving as much as he/she can as quickly as he/she desires!- Musical Instrument - Private and Group Voice - Hand-bell Choir
- Semi-Private Tennis, Racquetball and/or Squash - Swimming
- Self-Defense - Ballet (for girls) - Computers - Theatre

Starting in the 9th grade, students will begin learning a third language (French, Chinese, Italian or German). Many other unique learning opportunities will be offered. The Straight "A" method also offers ample, healthy, age-integrated, real-world social interaction, not the artificial pecking-order of mass education institutions. The Staff will work cooperatively with the parents and students to develop an individually-tailored education plan with clear, measurable objectives. In order to initiate the application process, please fill out the Student Services Request Form below, or email the Director at donFelix@straighta.com.
"Education is more an art than it is a science. Each child is either a masterpiece in the making, or a mere outline of what might have been." Felix Alvarado, Jr., Director, Straight "A" Academy
Need-based scholarships are available and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If the family, student and Straight "A" Directors all agree that Straight "A" Academy is the right environment for the student, then money should not be an obstacle!
